Empowering Communities with Restorative Justice: Free Facilitator Training at YouthZone
Are you a community member, parent, teacher, or part of law enforcement? Do you have previous experience with Restorative Justice Practices? If so, YouthZone invites you to participate in our free, three-day Restorative Justice Facilitator Training!
We’re offering an intensive 20-hour training program from Thursday, April 18th to Saturday, April 20th at our Glenwood Springs YouthZone office (413 9th St., Glenwood Springs, CO 81601). The training sessions will be conducted from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday and 9:00am-5:00pm on Friday and Saturday.
Led by Deb Witzel, this training aims to provide participants with all the tools necessary to facilitate real-world Restorative Justice processes independently, or co-facilitate alongside us at YouthZone.
Restorative Justice is a powerful approach to conflict resolution, focusing on repairing harm and building understanding. Enhancing and amplifying Restorative Justice throughout the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys is a key goal for YouthZone. By participating in this training, not only will you be equipped with valuable skills, but you’ll also be contributing to the enrichment of our community.
Your comfort during the training is important to us. Therefore, we’ll be providing breakfast, lunch, and snacks for participants. Upon request, we’ll also offer transportation, childcare, and translation services.
