What happens when you get 6 teenage girls with varied interests, personalities, and opinions together? At YouthZone we ask them to come up with their own guidelines as we bring them together each week to talk, laugh, be creative, be open, be honest and be respectful. It’s magic. Well, most of the time. This group is called the Girls’s Circle.
In a safe, fun environment the Girl’s Circle group allows young ladies to learn about themselves and others. The group explores the topics of: relationships, individuality, self esteem, assertiveness, and personal responsibility. The girls add to the spirit of the Circle with their own ideas, like “Bring your Pet day”, creative snacking, and scrapbooking. The greatest part is one never knows what is going to happen each week! At YouthZone we cherish the fact that the Circle allows adults and kids to learn together. It’s a Circle that makes a girl want to come back.
